Dr P Håkansson’s foundation awards scholarships and grants for scientific research. During 2023 the foundation distributes SEK 3.5 million in research support to early career researchers at Swedish universities and colleges. In previous years, individual grants have consisted of SEK 300,000 – 600,000. Projects can be recommended for two-year grants.
Research support is preferably given to:
- doctoral researcher in early career working with a focus on food and health
- research projects with significance for the major public diseases
- the highest priority is given to projects in areas where diet/food is important for prevention and/or treatment
- defined projects for which the implementation of obtaining research support is of great importance, are given special priority
