If you are between 18 and 35 years old and has been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes within the last three months has the opportunity to participate in a clinical study that is now starting at several hospitals in Sweden, under the direction of Marcus Lind, professor of diabetology at the Institute of Medicine. In type 1 diabetes, the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas are destroyed. The study investigates whether it is possible to preserve remaining beta cells with a drug.
