Biobank Väst receives the Quality Label award for its quality work – first in the Nordics

Biobank Väst at Sahlgrenska University Hospital is the first biobank in the Nordics within the European biobank network BBMRI-ERIC to receive the Quality Label according to ISO 20387:2018. The Quality Label award is one step closer to accreditation against the international standard ISO 20387:2018. It is proof that Biobank Väst meets the requirements of the standard and thus the laws and regulations governing biobanking. Biobank Väst’s responsibility extends from the time samples from researchers are received at the biobank, until the samples are released for further analysis. The award means that the biobank’s staff and customers can feel confident that the work done while the samples are at Biobank Väst follows standardized and quality-assured procedures.
