GeBlod (‘Donate blood’) on Sahlgrenska Academy’s Medicinareberget campus

GeBlod will be on site in the main entrance on Tuesday, November 22 and Monday, December 12 to inform about blood donation! More blood donors are needed, feel free to stop by the stand to take an HB test and make an appointment to become a blood donor.

In Swedish healthcare, a blood bag is needed every minute, around the clock, all year round. The blood is a perishable product and can only be stored for six weeks, and therefore a steady stream of blood donors is essential to ensure that there is blood for, among other things, cancer treatments, operations or births. In Gothenburg, more blood donors are needed, and therefore GeBlod is on site at Sahlgrenska Academy’s Medicinareberget campus.
