Beyond Academia | Lunch & Learn: PostDoc to Industry

At this event, Parisa Rabieifar, postdoctoral researcher at AstraZeneca, will talk about her career and offer advice on how to apply as a postdoc in industry.

***About the Meeting***
As more and more graduate students express an interest in pursuing a career in industry, they have begun to create their own formal postdoctoral programs to train recent graduate students in the industry side of science.

At this event, Parisa Rabieifar, postdoctoral researcher at AstraZeneca, will talk about her career and attendees will have the opportunity to get advice from her and answer their questions about what it really means to do science in an industrial environment.

***About the lecturer***
Parisa Rabieifar – postdoctoral researcher at AstraZeneca

She did her PhD in tumor biology at the Karolinska Institutet. During the last year of her doctoral studies, she had the opportunity to do a one-month industrial internship at AstraZeneca. This short internship inspired her to choose an industrial postdoctoral position at AstraZeneca as the next step in her career, where she has been since January 2022.
