Sahlgrenska Academy International Starting Grant 2022

Annual call aiming to encourage the institutes at the Sahlgrenska Academy to recruit talented researchers with international experience.

Who can apply?

Researchers who publicly defended their thesis, in Sweden or abroad, within the field of health sciences no more than eight years before the closing date of this call (i.e. for the call 2021, one must have defended their thesis September 1, 2014 or later, adjusted for deductible time) and who has held an international postdoctoral position for at least twelve months.

Including researchers who hold an international postdoctoral position and have been abroad for at least 12 months, but are employed by the University of Gothenburg (e.g. through a Research Council’s international postdoctoral fellowship or MSCA-IF global fellowship).

Researchers are eligilbe to apply who publicly defended their thesis within the field of health sciences in a country other than Sweden, and have held a postdoctoral position for at least 12 months, abroad or at a Swedish institution other than University of Gothenburg.

Please rembember to attach a signed letter of support from the institute (scanned, signed by the Head of institute).
