Participate in a study on gut bacteria

24 May, 2022 Leave a Comment

Contribute to research by participating in a study on the effect of gut bacteria on blood sugar levels. Some gut bacteria are found in lower levels in people with, for example, diabetes. The study examines how well a new dietary supplement with such bacteria works. Participants are aged 18-75 years and have an increased risk of developing diabetes. The study lasts for 16 weeks and you will be given supplements or placebo for 14 weeks. During the study, you will meet doctors and nurses at the study clinic. You have regular blood and stool tests to check how your health is affected. As a thank you for your participation, you will receive SEK 1,500 after completing your studies. For more information and to register your interest, contact us at the Wallenberg Laboratory, Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
