In the most recent application round, a total of 27 researchers were granted ALF positions, which provide research time on a part-time basis for at least two years. 14 doctoral students receive ALF positions for licensed doctors at doctoral student level, and 10 researchers holding a PhD receive ALF positions for licensed doctors with a doctorate in medicine. New for this year is the investment in strategic ALF positions in registry research for licensed doctors with a doctorate in medicine, which goes to Andreas Martinsson (cardiology) and Cecilie Hveding Blimark (the cancer disease myeloma). Verena Sengpiel, chief physician in obstetrics, receives a higher clinical ALF research position.
