Lancet-SIGHT-Commission condemns Russian aggression against Ukraine

In a commentary in the Lancet, the Lancet-SIGHT-Commission condemns the Russian government’s attacks on civilian and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, including health workers and hospitals. The Commission calls for an immediate ceasefire and the appointment of a mediator to facilitate negotiations on a sustainable peace settlement based on international law. The article calls on the global health community to deliver humanitarian aid to all those affected and to those fleeing the war, to document atrocities, to counter disinformation and to advocate for a peaceful solution.
