Ann Nordgren is a new professor of clinical genetics

Akademiliv congratulates Ann Nordgren on her professorship in clinical genetics! She has been recruited as a reinforcement of research in rare diagnoses and childhood cancer at Sahlgrenska Academy, and clinically also by the Center for Rare Diagnoses (CSD) within in the activities at Clinical Genetics and Genomics, and Sahlgrenska Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC) which is established by Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Ann Nordgren comes most recently from Karolinska Institutet / University Hospital. Among other things, she is responsible for the national ChiCAP study concerning genetic predisposition for childhood cancer, which is a sub-project within Genomic Medicine Sweden and their childhood tumor project funded by the Childhood Cancer Foundation.
