Tove Hedenrud is a new professor of community pharmacy

Akademiliv congratulates Tove Hedenrud, who is now a professor of community pharmacy. This field of science is multidisciplinary and highlights the role of medicines for patients, professions and society. Tove Hedenrud leads the research group MEDUP, whose vision is to contribute to an equal and rational drug treatment and drug use, with social sustainability and the environment as important perspectives. Her research is about perceptions, attitudes and behaviors related to the prescribing and use of drugs among prescribers and users, including in the treatment of asthma. She is also developing a Swedish, generic instrument for measuring adherence to treatment with inspiration from philosophical concepts. Tove Hedenrud teaches within the Pharmacy Program.
