Joakim Larsson, professor at the Institute of Biomedicine and director of the Center for Antibiotic Resistance Research, CARe, receives funding within the national research program on antibiotic resistance, which is a program in collaboration between the Swedish Research Council, the Public Health Agency, the National Board of Health and Welfare, and several other Swedish authorities. Joakim Larsson was also recently elected as a scientific advisor at the Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance, JPIAMR, which coordinates international research on antibiotic resistance.
