The Center for Ethics, Law and Mental Health (CELAM) has been awarded an additional SEK 15 million by the Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare (Forte) to strengthen the evidence base for Swedish forensic psychiatry. The funds mean an extension to 2021 for the national research program FORevidence, which develops evidence-based practice in forensic psychiatry through interdisciplinary mapping and method development. The research program has thus been awarded a total of 30 million over a period of 6 years, which is the most comprehensive research program ever in the forensic psychiatric research area in Sweden.
