New center formation with focus on governance of health and medical care systems is established

The Vice-Chancellor has decided to establish a new cross-faculty center formation that brings together research on governance and management within health and medical care systems. The center is called Center for Health Governance (GHC) and will be established from November 1st, 2021. After five years, the goal is for GHC to be self-financed. The host institution becomes the Department of Economics. Appointed director is Eva Wikström, Professor of Health Governance at the Department of Business Administration. From Sahlgrenska Academy, Mikael Svensson, Professor of Applied Health Economics, and Max Petzold, Professor of Biostatistics, both take place in the center’s steering group.
