Sahlgrenska Life – the decision-making process moves forward

Sahlgrenska Life is moving forward in the decision-making process towards an approved detailed plan. The Gothenburg municipal board this week approved the implementation decision proposed by the city management office. This is a condition for a detailed plan for the area, which in turn is a prerequisite for new construction to take place in connection with Sahlgrenska University Hospital’s (SU) main entrance and the University of Gothenburg’s premises on Medicinareberget. The decision enables the implementation of the Sahlgrenska Life project, which aims to strengthen collaboration between healthcare, research, education and business. The detailed plan also affects public transport, to which improvements are planned by moving the bus stop at the hospital area.
