RESEARCH. This autumn’s program for Sahlgrenska Academy Science Seminars is starting to get full, but there are still some gaps if you want to invite a speaker. In order not to miss an interesting seminar, you can sign up for a reminder email one hour before it starts.
The autumn program for Sahlgrenska Academy Science Seminars (SAS Seminars) begins on Thursday September 9th. Speaker is Markus Hafner, who heads a laboratory at the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS). The group focuses on the composition of the ribonucleoproteins (RNPs) involved in cellular RNA transport and control of RNA stability. The host of the seminar is Aishe Sarshad.
Both international and local speakers
SAS Seminars is a platform for researcher staff at Sahlgrenska Academy to invite both international, national and local researchers to give interesting presentations. Right now, the seminars are given over Zoom, which facilitates participation for international speakers.
Among the local speakers who have been invited to participate in this autumn’s program are David Bock who works with Scandinavian Surgical Outcomes Research Group (September 30), Maria Falkenberg who will talk about mitochondrial DNA replication (October 7) and Anders Ståhlberg whose seminar is about screening of circulating DNA for cancer detection and monitoring (October 14).
The program will be announced in detail in Akademiliv during the autumn.
Do you want a reminder?
It is still possible to propose speakers for SAS Seminars’ programs. Read more on the Staff Portal.
Feel free to sign up for a reminder email, one hour before each seminar. Send another email research.support@sahlgrenska.gu.se with “Registration reminder Sahlgrenska Academy Science Seminars” in the subject line. The mailing list is administered by the department for research support at the Sahlgrenska Academy’s office.
