Gothenburg, which includes the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology, is placed as number two on the list of Sweden’s best student cities by the website Studentum.se. The list is topped by Stockholm, while Västerås is named Sweden’s third best student city. According to the assessment, Gothenburg has a broad labor market that can offer many opportunities for extra work and internships, and also increases the opportunity for students to enter their future professional life. The good opportunity for commuting is also taken into account in the assessment. Worth noting, however, is the fact that it is still difficult to get hold of student housing in Gothenburg.
