Carina Mallard, current head of Core Facilities, will be the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research from August 1st. At the same time, Göran Landberg is leaving the assignment, in order to be able to focus more on his research. Carina Mallard is a professor of experimental perinatal brain injury research at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. She is researching the newborn baby’s brain, and is involved in research infrastructure issues.
From August 1st, the university will also have a new Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Collaboration: Torbjörn Lundh, Professor of Biomathematics, who until 1 July 1st holds the assignment as Vice Dean for Collaboration, Innovation and Internationalization at the Faculty of Science.
