Who can apply?
Funding from the Adlerbert Research Foundation can be awarded everyone who is conducting research and artistic activities at University of Gothenburg, except for at the School of Business, Economics and Law which has their own funds from the foundation. Researchers and PhD-students at the School of Business, Economics and Law are thus not eligible for funding from the University of Gothenburg.
Priorities
Applications that have a connection to the city of Gothenburg from a perspective of sustainable development (ecologically, economically, socially) is encouraged. The foundation wants to prioritise applications with an orientation towards sustainable development from a holistic perspective.
Application
It is possible to apply for funding either for a project grant (may include travel costs, but no salary costs are eligible from the foundation) or for a travel grant (may only include costs related to travel, and no other research costs).
The application form asks for details on the applicant; basic information on the application/planned project/travel, a project description (the applicant may choose to insert in given box in the form or upload as PDF) containing a budget motivation and a time plan for the project; besides a short CV including publications; and administrative information on how to transfer the funds to the right department.
In the current situation with travel restrictions, it is still possible to apply for trips planned at the expected changes when the pandemic is better controlled. Applicants who are granted funds for trips that cannot be realized are to contact adlerberska.forskningsstiftelsen@gu.se to reach an agreement on prolonging the project/travel grant or an alternative use of the funds.
