CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION. Akademiliv provides information on the construction of Natrium on Medicinareberget for the period weeks 11-14 (March 15 – April 9).
The current information about constructions on Medicinareberget is distributed with special mailings and in Akademiliv every four weeks. As far as the information mailings are planned, you will receive these mailings with information April 12, May 10, June 7 and August 16.
In regards of covid-19, there is currently no impact on the progress of the projects, but developments can change quickly. The University of Gothenburg and Akademiska Hus are closely monitoring developments and are making adjustments as needed.If you have questions about the construction activities, feel free to email medicinareberget@gu.se.

On the construction site
The superstructure erection is proceeding according to plan and during week 11 the work with the first floor is being completed. The following week, the work on the second floor begins over half the surface of the building.
Work on retaining walls for the future ramp along Nya Forsken down to the basement continues.
Inside Medicinarelängan
The construction of the new floor plan is underway. Interior walls are set up and new installations take place on both first and second floor. Both plumbers, ventilation fitters and electricians perform many tasks during this period.
Both bricklaying and repairing of existing walls take place. A unique detail in Medicinarlängan is the shape of the trusses. They have the shape of a rhombus and will be visible in the future restaurant.
A test environment of a lab is under construction and during week 11 the assembly of the lab interior will start.
Teknikhuset
Work that is a part of the Natrium project is carried out in Teknikhuset close to EBM. It consists mostly of technical installations of machines and, for example, pipe systems for cooling.
The facade will be provided with larger doors soon.
