Jonas Nilsson, Göran Stenman and Karin Sundfeldt received a total of SEK 12 million from the Sjöberg Foundation

When the Sjöberg Foundation recently distributed research grants in the area of difficult-to-treat cancer with a poor prognosis, three of the total of nine grants funded went to projects at Sahlgrenska Academy and Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Jonas Nilsson receives SEK 5 million for his project on CAR-T cell treatment for treatment-resistant skin and uveal melanoma. Göran Stenman receives SEK 3 million for the development of a new targeted treatment for patients with the therapy-resistant and deadly cancer form adenoid cystic cancer. Karin Sundfeldt receives SEK 4 million for the development of a screening tool for ovarian cancer that greatly may reduce mortality from the disease.

Akademistatistik offers statistical and health-economic expertise to researchers and PhD students working at Sahlgrenska Academy and in the Region Västra Götaland. Here you can get advise in all aspects, from project formulation to the analyses required for journal publication.
