Professor Magnus Hakeberg at the Department of Dental Psychology and Public Health receives the Forssberg Prize 2020, according to an article in Tandläkartidningen. He receives the award for his research on how dental phobia affects patients’ oral health and for having developed treatment models that have been important for dental-fearing patients. Magnus Hakeberg has also done research in community dentistry, when it was mainly about unequal oral health, health services in relation to socio-economic status and comparisons between the payment models healthy dentistry and dental dentistry. In addition to honor, The Forssberg Prize means a prize sum of SEK 20,000. Due to the corona pandemic, this year’s presentation of the award will take place digitally in connection with the inauguration of this year’s odontological national meeting.
