YOUNG RESEARCHERS. Are you a possible candidate to be nominated to the Research Leader Initiative 2020-2021, a course for future research leaders? If so, contact your Head of institute!
Before May 15, a ranked list of five nominees (from each institute), should be sent by email to sigridur.beck@gu.se.
The Research Leader Initiative will be given for the 6th time and is now open for nominations from all departments at the University of Gothenburg. The initiative is designed for our future research leaders and covers leadership, group development, ethics, gender, grant writing and utilisation. The course will be given on eight separate occasions between August 2020 and May 2021. In a hands-on approach, focus will be on practical elements based on each participant’s situation. Participants will acquire tools and methods that are directly and individually applicable in their role as research leaders.
Program 2020 – 2021
- August 21: Introduction & the participant’s individual research aims (with deputy Vice Chancellor Göran Landberg). Location: Ågrenska villan.
- September 17-18: Leadership – communications and group development & how to coach and develop your group. Location Hjortviken conference center, Hindås.
- October 14: Preconditions for high quality research (with Susanna Radovic, Henrik Zetterberg och Elin Naurin). Location Birgit Thilander, Sahlgrenska.
- November 13: Feedback as a leadership tool for development and high performance. Location: Birgit Thilander, Sahlgrenska.
- December 10: Research Impact, Utilisation & Immaterial rights (with the Innovation Office). Location, Birgit Thilander, Sahlgrenska.
- January 14-15: Grant Writing (with Martin Bergö, Åsa Mäkitalo and the Grants Office). Location: Hjortviken conference centre, Hindås.
- April 22: Gender (Fredrik Bondestam) & Ethics (Christian Munthe). Location: Ågrenska villan.
- May 28: Presentation of group projects related to leadership. Location: Ågrenska villan.
