7 April, 2020

CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION. Akademiliv provides an overview of the construction project for new premises for the faculty of science and reconstruction work in Medicinarelängan and the Lundberg Laboratory. In regards of the spread of covid-19, there is currently no impact on the progress of the projects, but developments can change quickly. The University of Gothenburg and Akademiska Hus are closely monitoring developments and are making adjustments as needed. If you have any questions about the construction activities, feel free to email medicinareberget@gu.se.

WEEK 15, April 6– 10.

In week 16, the groundwork for the portcabins outside Occupational and Environmental Medicine continues.

On Friday April 17, Asphalting is done in multiple places.  Close to the location for the portcabins, the asphalt will be restored on the road where the pipes were placed the week before. In addition, walkways close to the parking will be adjusted.

Inside the construction area, asphalting is done inside gate 1 along with some adjustments near gate 2. Paved surfaces are important to enable a safe handling of materials, loading and unloading.

Asphalt also bind dust and dirt and limit the spread of those to the surrounding area.

In the week, blasting is back in the area close to the facade of Medicinarelängan. As previously communicated with those concerned, the project team will continue to be present in good time before the blast at 12.30 to make sure that no one stays in the concerned rooms closest to the blasting area.

Blasting in week 16 will take place Tuesday and Thursday at 12.30 with reserve time at 15.00 on the same days.
