The prostate cancer association has distributed a total of SEK 10 million to Swedish research and development projects. Of the 23 projects that received funding, six are conducted in Gothenburg. The recipients are Caroline Olsson, Delila Gasi Tandefelt, Karin Welén in collaboration with Jonas Nilsson (Umeå University), Kimia Kohestani, Neha Singh and Malin Hagberg Thulin. The research funding is announced for the application in November each year. Support is mainly given to projects on early and safe diagnostics, more effective and gentle treatment methods and rehabilitation. The projects are reviewed by the Association’s Research Council with expertise in urology, oncology and rehabilitation.
