11 February, 2020

BUILDING INFORMATION. Akademiliv provides an overview of the construction project for new premises for the faculty of science and reconstruction work in Medicinarelängan and the Lundberg Laboratory. Rebuilding of replacement premises may continue to cause disturbing noise. During this period, rebuilding on the 2nd floor in Lundberg lab will commence, which will start with demolition and removal. If you have any questions about the construction activities, feel free to email medicinareberget@gu.se.

WEEK 7, February 10 – 14.

The exterior is being restored and tidied up and this will take a few weeks.

Lundberg Laboratory

Lab furnishings for the third and fourth floor are not yet in place. The deliveries will be carried out through the rear entrance but are not likely to cause any disturbances for pedestrians.

Reconstruction on the second floor will possibly be initiated in this three-week period, starting with demolition. Material will be delivered through the walkway between Medicinarelängan and the  Lundberg laboratory.

New premises for the Faculty of Science (Natrium)

The construction site is being restored after the successful starting ceremony held last week.

The groundwork outside the facade of Nya Forsken that was announced in the latest newsletter has been postponed two weeks.

Inside the fence close to EBM, work is ongoing to move rocks and soil to even out the surface to create unloading zones and storage of material.

The blasting and outloading continues going from EBM in the direction toward Nya Forsken. See image for details. The trucks enter and exit the site mostly through the gate close to Medicinaregatan 1.

Blasting in week 7 will take place Tuesday and Thursday at 12.30 with reserve time at 15.00 on the same days.
