Agneta Prytz-Folke and Gösta Folke’s Foundation supports research on age-related diseases, Alzheimer’s disease and related functions. Grants are primarily paid for clinical patient-related research in western Sweden. The foundation makes contributions to both medical research and research in health sciences. Support for pre-clinical animal experimental research is only provided in exceptional cases.
Note that the foundation has changed its application routines for 2020: from previous years alternating between contributions to medicine or health care, the foundation now distributes grants annually to both research areas. This year, approximately SEK 800,000 is available for distribution. Information about the new application procedures and about the announcement can be found here (in Swedish).
Grants can be applied for by those who have completed their doctor degree no more than four years ago (with a deductible time for parental leave). The application must be submitted electronically on the Swedish website prytzfolkesstiftelse.se by 31st March.
