Current construction information for Medicinareberget – the work takes a break during weeks 52 and 1

CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION. Here you find an overview of construction activities during the next few weeks that may affect you on different locations on Medicinareberget, not just where blasting takes place. In December and January work in Medicinarelängan may at some times lead to increased noise. During weeks 52 and 1 the groundwork of the new premises for the Faculty of Science closes down for the holiday. WEEK 51, December 16 – 20.

Medicinarelängan lower floor

Reconstruction is ongoing in order to prepare for docking the new building for the Faculty of Science and to provide temporary premises for Center for Cellular Imaging, CCI, who will move from 7A to Medicinaregatan 5. The work means disturbing noise particularily during hours stated below.  This reconstruction work is estimated to be ready by end of January, 2020.

Hours in week 51 with increased noise disturbances:

  • Mon Dec 16: 07:00-08:00, 11:00-12:00
  • Tue Dec 17 07:00-09:00, 12:00-14:00
  • Wed Dec 18 07:00-08:00
  • Thu Dec 19 07:00-11:00
  • Fri Dec 20 07:00-09:00, 12:00-14:00

New premises for the Faculty of Science

The south gate, close to Nya Forsken will be utilized for outloading of rock material in week 51. The blasting and preparatory activities such as clearing the surface and drilling are focused to the area close to the EBM media central.
Blasting will take place as usual Tuesday and Thursday at 12.30 with reserve times at 15.00 on the same days.

WEEK 52-1, December 23 – January 3.

Medicinarelängan lower floor – no work will take place week 52 or 1

Reconstruction is ongoing in order to prepare for docking the new building for the Faculty of Science and to provide temporary premises for Center for Cellular Imaging, CCI, who will move from 7A to Medicinaregatan 5. The work means disturbing noise. This reconstruction work is estimated to be ready by end of January, 2020. No work will take place in week 52.

The construction site is closed for Christimas and New Year. The team pass on their Christmas and New Year’s greetings too all.

WEEK 2, January 6 – 10.

Medicinarelängan lower floor

The work means disturbing noise. This reconstruction work is estimated to be ready by end of January, 2020.

During these hours increased disturbing noise will occur.

  • Tue Jan 14 07:00-09:00, 13:00-14:00
  • Wed Jan 15 07:00-09:00
  • Thu Jan 16 07:00-08:00
  • Fri Jan 17 07:00-09:00, 13:00-14:00

New premises for the Faculty of Science

The production team is back on the site continue the work. Preparations for the Tuesday blast is starting immediately now on level four. Blasting on this level takes the excavations down to the basement level of the new building. Work on this level also includes making room for the culverts that will connect the new builidng with the Medicinarelängan and the EBM media central.

Blasting will take place as usual Tuesday and Thursday at 12.30 with reserve times at 15.00 on the same days.

 

WARNING SIGNALS AT BLASTING. Before and during blasting the area will be blocked off by guards and you will hear a warning signal. Information signs with contact information will also be put up in concerned areas.
