WEEK 15 – blasting only Thursday
(April 8 – 12)
The sketch below is a section of the hill seen from Nya Forsken and illustrates how the blasting is divided into four different levels. The second level, on which one blasting has now taken place, is wider than the one on top.
The barriers and fences that were put up last week will over time be extended as the blasting activity proceeds.
The original plan for this week was to start clearing the slope beyond Nya Forsken. This is postponed one more week, however there will be some will be removed during this week.
On Tuesday, no blasting will be carried out. Focus during these days will instead be on drilling and securing the hilltop. Two dumpers will assist the excavator in removing rocks and stones.
Thursday April 11, blasting is resumed according to the usual time schedule, 12.30 with reserve time 15.00.
WEEK 16
(April 15 – 19)
In week 16, it is time to clear the slope toward the goods reception. Parking for six cars will be the closed as a preventive security measure to keep you and the cars safe.
On the hilltop, the long digger will remove rocks Monday and Wednesday. On Tuesday and Thursday, it will assist with the blasting.
WEEK 17
(April 22 – 26)
In week 17 the outloading capacity will be reinforced by one more excavator. Tuesday and Thursday blasting takes place as usual. A roller will work on the road to prepare it for outloading. Salt and possibly also water will be added to control the dust. A fully loaded dumper weighs around 60 tons which puts high demands on road work on the site.
