CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION WEEK 11
(March 11-17)
The week starts with a safety round at the construction site.
The detaching work continues again on the hill top, after the temporary detour last week to the space behind the EBM media center.
At the gate rerouting of the road is prepared. Apart from the fact that the road needs to be moved up a few meters closer to the EBM, now that the hill has been lowered, the current high-voltage cables must also be uncovered for reinforced protection. However, most of this work is done during week 12.
On the hill, the blasting continues according to schedule, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12.30 with reserve time at 15.00.
The surface is prepared for drilling and blasting by an excavator with an extended reach. The excavator also puts the protection mats in place before blasting. They weigh around 1 ton and need to be handled carefully so that they do not damage any ignition cables.

(March 18-24)
In parallel with reinforcing the protection of the high-voltage cable at the gate, the permanent road is established. This work will continue throughout the week.

(March 25-31)
During this week, minor finishing work takes place at the gate to adjust the surface after the rerouting activity.

Short signal = Danger
Long signal = Danger over
During blasting, affected areas will be blocked off by the blast guards and warning signal will sound as shown in the picture to the left. There are also signs with information and contact details at the affected areas.
