A question came to medicinareberget@gu.se, in which the questioner describes a concern that boulders could roll down from the construction site towards the house facade. We addressed the question to the contractor who replies as follows:
“We make use of rocks and soil at the construction site to build temporary roads and a stable platform for the excavators. Large boulders are used for stabilizing the site. They are gently put on the ground by the operator of the excavator, using a sufficient safety distance to the facade of Medicinarelängan. There is no reason to worry. The fence that has been seen at the construction site is not a safety barrier as such. That is important to keep in mind, as it will soon be replaced by an orange net, within the next coming days”.
