The Xmas photo competition on Instagram settled – Four winners appointed

19 December, 2017

COMPETITION. Thank you for all contributions in this year’s Christmas competition on Instagram! Akademiliv’s jury has now appointed the four winners who get two movie tickets for their contributions. The winners are one student, an administrative employee, a researcher and a whole research team.

This year the jury consisted of Henrik Sjövall, Professor at the Institute of Medicine, Sara Gabrielsen, Chair for the student union SAKS, and the editor ofAkademiliv Elin Lindström Claessen.

The four winners are (without ranking): Kristina Bosch Guix, Susanne Ljungman Westergren, Suzanne Dickson and Glyco Inflammatory Group.

Kristina Bosch Guix, audiologist student.
Kristina contributed with several photos i the competition, and the one chosen by the jury shows the passage towards the hospital, in winter dark lit by xmas lighting. In her description of the picture, Kristina states that this is her favourite glass bridge, since it reflects her life – currently on the learning side, later as an active audiologist on the hospital.
Susanne Ljungman Westergren, Communications Officer at the Institute of Clinical Sciences and at the Faculty Office.
Susanne contributed with a picture of the cosy and xmas-decorated lunch room in Anatomen on Medicinaregatan 3.
Suzanne Dickson, Professor of Physiology, especially Neuro Endocrinology at the Section for Physiology.
Suzanne contributed with a photo of a smart christmas ornament in the lab of Rudolph and his reindeer friends.
The research group Glyco Inflammatory Group, Institute of Biomedcine.
The research group, which is lead by Associate Professor Niclas Karlsson, does research on altered glycosylation in disease. Their Instagram account was the one which contributed most to this competition – seven photos in total. The picture that the jury fell for shows how the winter sun reflects in the spinning door at the entrance at Medicinaregatan 3. The group now consists of three postdoctors, a doctoral student and two further researchers. We allow the group to decide which two are most deserving of the movie tickets.

Congratulations to all winners! You will receive two movie tickets each in the mail.
