The external monitoring report was compiled as a part of the pre-study of the collaboration project, which will be presented in its entirety at the beginning of October. The report’s analysis captures various trends both in Sweden and abroad that can inspire development in Gothenburg.
Sahlgrenska Life is a collaborative project between the University of Gothenburg and the Västra Götaland Region with the aim of jointly creating an internationally leading translational environment.
“Sahlgrenska Life involves a unique environment. The physically close connection between healthcare services and academia that this project seeks to create is unparalleled,” acting Dean Eric Hanse comments the external monitoring report in his latest commentary in Akademiliv.
The Sahlgrenska Life project provides the conditions so that knowledge from research will be able to be more quickly put to use in healthcare services, and vice versa, that problems originating in patient needs become the subject of research.
The impact in the external monitoring report is broad and can be used in various ways and from different perspectives. It is directed at employees and decision-makers in both healthcare and the university, as well as architects and others who are involved in the project in their professional roles.
“The external monitoring report creates a common base for the knowledge of the surrounding world that the project rests on. Anyone who would like to express an opinion or thoughts on its analysis is welcome to contact me,” says Project Manager Andreas Eklöf at the consultancy firm Inobi, who is the project manager for the Sahlgrenska Life pre-study.
