GOVERNMENT. Wednesday, February 22, the Misconduct Investigation submitted its report, “New order to promote good practice and manage research misconduct” to Helene Hellmark Knutsson, Minister of Higher Education and Research.
The government’s special investigator Margaretha Fahlgren has been commissioned to examine the need for a new management of matters relating to the investigation of misconduct in research and to submit proposals that ensure a clear and legally secure handling of suspected misconduct.
“There is a need for a clearer and more secure handling of suspected research misconduct. Not least the scandal involving Macchiarini revealed this”, says Helene Hellmark Knutsson, Minister of Higher Education and Research.
