EDUCATION. The Vice-Chancellor has decided about new Rules and regulations for examination and revised Rules and regulations for studies, and Procedure for complaints from students. The rules apply from the start of the spring semester.
Rules and regulations for examination is a new set of regulations that aims to provide a common framework for examinations at the University that support the laws governing higher education examinations. The new set of rules also allows for digital examinations at the University. To the students, the regulations clarify the constitution and requirements of examinations. Along with the Rules and regulations for examination the Rules and regulations for studies and Procedure for complaints from students has been revised in accordance.
With the introduction of the new rules there may be reason to update student information at the department and faculty level to correspond to the new regulations. To support the interpretation of the new Rules and regulations for examination a web based Handbook for examination is being produced and will be published, so far in Swedish only, during February.
When the new rules comes into place the following will no longer apply: Rules for departments on using examination halls, Rules for examinations, Rules for invigilators, and Local rules for studies at the University of Gothenburg.
