Eligible to apply for these scholarships are registered PhD students with at least one own peer reviewed publication. The scholarships are not awarded to postdoctoral researchers or non-registered post-graduate students. The journey may commence no earlier than one month after the application deadline.
The grants are intended to cover extraordinary personal costs associated with travel to other research institution or clinic for studies relevant to the applicant’s own research. Scholarships are given to travel to learn a new methodology or collecting research data, or other similar purposes. Personal invitation from the host institution and a certificate from the principal supervisor must be attached. The scholarship is limited to SEK 50 000 and granted a maximum of three times.
The application is made electronically and the scholarship can be applied for four times a year with deadlines March 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1. The application system opens two weeks before the deadline.
