COOPERATION. Ann-Marie Wennberg has been appointed as the new director of Sahlgrenska University Hospital, SU. She is currently in the hospital administration and is a professor. “Ann-Marie has extensive experience and has shown modern and visible leadership,” said regional director Ann-Sofi Lodin.
After an intensive search process, regional director Ann-Sofi Lodin decided to appoint Ann-Marie Wennberg as the new Hospital Director of Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
“This assignment involves great responsibility for one of Northern Europe’s largest hospitals. It is an enterprise that covers everything from world-class research and training to covered health and medical care, both for inhabitants of the region as well as patients nationally and internationally,” said Ann-Sofi Lodin.
Ann-Sofi Lodin believes that “this recruitment demonstrates the strength of Region Västra Götaland, since we were able to recruit a top manager from our own staff. Ann-Marie Wennberg has a highly distinguished background with tested leadership, experience in many disciplines within healthcare, as well as qualified and extensive change management within several areas.
