PRIZES. The Honor Medal of Odontology was this year awarded to maxillofacial surgeon and specialist supervisor Fredrik Widar. He receives the prize for improving the training in oral surgery.
Every year the students of Odontology have the opportunity to submit a justifikation to the Education Council of Odontology in order to highlight a person – a student, a lecturer or a clinical teacher – that deserves to be honored with the Honorary Medal of Odontology.
This year’s recipient is Frederick Widar, maxillofacial surgeon and a specialist supervisor. As a new supervisor at the Institute of Odontology, he very efficiently and thoroughly changed and improved the teaching provided in the subject of oral surgery. He always takes the time beyond the time available to respond to students’ questions and provide support in education. He is calm and pedagogic and treats students and colleagues with respect and humility. Congratulations Fredrik!
