POSTAL SERVICE. It can be an expensive affair if you put letters with barcode in in one of PostNord’s yellow mailboxes. These letters are in danger of being be charged a high fee.
The University’s white mailboxes for barcode envelope is since some time removed. All mail at the University, both internally and externally, is now handled by PostNord. However, the yellow letterboxes should not be used for letters with barcode – you risk being charged a high fee of about SEK 60 per piece. Letters with barcode should be be added in the letter trays available on departments and units for outgoing mail, or mailed atPostNord’s business center or the Letter Terminal in Gothenburg. If you are late, do not hesitate to put a stamp on the letter, cover up the barcode and then put it in a yellow box.
