AWARDS. The Royal Academy of Engineering (IVA), recently selected 15 new members, including Frederick Bäckhed, professor at the Sahlgrenska Academy and Director of the Wallenberg Laboratory.
Among those elected are not only recognized scientists, but also top names from the world of business, such as Peter Wallenberg Jr.
The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) consists of decision-makers and experts from industry, academia and administration.IVA affects social development through projects that are characterized by a scientific approach, and that will contribute to the benefit of society.
The Academy has a total of 1,300 members in twelve areas of expertise. Additionally, more than 200 companies are represented in IVA’s Business Council.
