During Innovation Day, on May 6th, the participants got to see glimpses of what is done in the Life Sciences field in Göteborg. There should be more people here listening to these interesting facts, thought Anders Hyltander, the moderator.
– We have heard presentations by several companies who right now are in an early phase. Some have the potential to become really big. It is important information communicated here and positive to hear that Gothenburg has much business at the cutting edge, says Anders Hyltander , director of surgery at Östra sjukhuset and also working with innovation.
– I think Life Science is one of Gothenburg’s major future industries. In the long term new innovations will create more jobs, that is one of many important aspects , says Anders Hyltander .
Maria Anvret and Niclas Lundh, at the Sahlgrenska Academy Office, were the hosts for the Life Science network in Gothenburg. The network has about 60 members, half of them signed up to Tuesday’s Innovation Day. Along with Klementina Österberg from GU Holding , he led the afternoon workshop and discussion.
– What do we do next? Now we’ve focused on the industry , the hospital and the academy areas of operations. At the next meeting we will probably go to Lindholmen Science Park to learn more about how they work, says Klementina Österberg during the coffee break with fresh fruit and smoothies.
Klementina Österberg agree with Anders Hyltander that it is time to expand the network. Anyone interested is welcome to contact her or Niclas Lundh .
