In order to quality assure the University’s third-cycle education, the Department for Analysis and Evaluation is carrying out a survey entitled DOCTORAL STUDENTS IN GOTHENBURG 2011/12 during spring semester 2012.
The survey deals with doctoral students’ experiences of the education provided and their research and employment situation. It therefore focuses on views and expectations of third-cycle education rather than working environment conditions, and should not be confused with the working environment barometer study carried out at the end of 2011.
The Doctoral Students in Gothenburg survey is aimed at those who were registered for third-cycle education at the University of Gothenburg in 2011 and who were accepted at some point during the period 1998-2010. However, those who work with doctoral students or who come into contact with third-cycle education in some other way also have an important role to play by encouraging the doctoral students around them to answer the survey. It is important that we receive as many responses as possible to ensure that the results are reliable and we are able to use these as a basis for making action-based decisions and improving our third-cycle education.
The survey will be sent out during week 8, but it will be possible to reply online from week 6 onwards.
All the results will be dealt with and presented completely anonymously. The results will be presented beginning in May 2012.
