European network explores new strategies to combat bacterial infections

DOCTORAL STUDIES. A faster, easier, and cheaper way for healthcare providers to determine the pathogen that caused an infection and ultimately to find new types of antibiotics. EU funds Research School in Neurogastroenterology

[WEB TV] Magnus Simréns research group is one of ten in Europe taking part in a new European research school in Neurogastroenterology. In total, EU is investing just over SEK 30 million in the research school.

Most popular doing a PhD in Medicine and Health Sciences

Yesterday the University Chancellor Board and Statistics Swedenpublished a report on doctoral students and degrees at postgraduate level. Last year, 3700 people began to study for a PhD, which is 200 more than the year before. The increase is greatest in the research topics social sciences and humanities. But by far the largest area for doing a PhD in is still medicine and health sciences.
