Green light for new, extended medical training – starts in autumn 2021
EDUCATION. In autumn of 2021 Sweden’s new Medical Program begins. It will be one semester longer than today’s program and lead to a medical license upon successful completion. Last Thursday the Swedish government decided to amend the Swedish Higher Education Ordinance. Tanmoy Mondal receives Swedish Research Council Starting Grant
GRANTS. Tanmoy Mondal, a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Cell Biology, is now starting his own team to study long non-coding RNA and cancer. He has been awarded a Swedish Research Council Starting Grant, giving him a total of SEK 6 million over the next four years. Five projects receive educational development funding
EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT. Five educational development projects will now be implemented with funds from the Swedish Council for Education. One of the projects brings together training of nurses and dental hygienists, in which future nurses receive specialized training in oral health and future dental hygienists receive information and instruction about oral care. Anna Martner receives Senior Investigator Award from Swedish Cancer Society
GRANTS. Anna Martner, who heads a research team at Sahlgrenska Cancer Center, has now received the Swedish Cancer Society’s Senior Investigator Award.
