The University of Gothenburg receives annual funding from the Adlerbert Research Foundation for the award of research and travel grants to researchers at the university (except at the School of Business, Economics and Law, which has its own allocation). All professors and lecturers at the medical faculties in the Nordic countries are now invited to nominate candidates for Eric K. Fernström’s Nordic Award 2024. Nominations must be sent directly to Eric Fernströms Foundation at Lund University (ann.ivarsson@med.lu.se) and be submitted by Wednesday 15 May 2024 at the latest. Fernström Prize 2024 for young, highly promising and successful researchers. Anna-Lisa and Bror Björnson’s Foundation primarily announces support for research projects that are conducted at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and which are considered promising but have not yet reached the weight that provides grants from central funds. Regarding well-established groups and projects, the fund therefore wants to limit its support to smaller sub-projects that involve young researchers and are clearly described in a defined research plan.
