The Sjöberg Prize for cancer research is awarded to a scientist or a group of scientists who have made a fundamental discovery that is expected to advance our knowledge about disease mechanisms, prevention or treatment of cancer. The prize sum amounts to 1 million USD whereof 10% is a personal award.
The regulations regarding the prize stipulate that the nominated scientist is presently conducting high-quality cancer research and is below 60 years of age. Nominations are submitted electronically at: https://portal.sjobergprize.se (pin-code to create account: RKGAEFX5). Nominations should contain a succinct description of the discovery on which the nomination is based, along with a short description of the nominee’s current research activities. Recognition of female excellence in science is encouraged.
The deadline for nominations is 2 May 2023.
