Lecture Hall Palmstedt, University Building, Chalmersplatsen 2
Registration for supervisors (with preliminary project title) at the latest 29 September.
On 12 October it is time for the autumn’s physical master’s thesis fair, this time at Chalmers. The fair is a joint venture between Chalmers, the University of Gothenburg and Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Starting now, the fair will also include bachelor’s thesis projects at Chalmers. The fair is held in English.
Supervisors wanted
Are you working on a project that is suitable for a degree project in the intersection between health and technology, or another research area that bridges the gap between Chalmers, the University of Gothenburg and Sahlgrenska University Hospital? Register no later than 29 September.
Potential supervisors from Chalmers, the University of Gothenburg and Sahlgrenska University Hospital will have the opportunity to present their projects to a joint group of students at Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg. After that, the students have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the projects with the supervisors.
For researchers, this is an opportunity to reach a wider audience of students when advertising project ideas. For students, the fair offers a unique possibility to work side-by-side together with students and researchers that have different competences, and in some projects that will be co-supervised by PI:s with both clinical and engineering background.
Preliminary program
13:00-14:00 – Bachelor’s thesis project presentations
14:00-15:00 – Coffee with a chance for students and supervisors to mingle
15:00-16:30 – Master’s thesis project presentations
16:30-17.00 – Mingle

Information for researchers/PI:s
Please prepare two slides in English and a 2-3 minutes presentation. The slides should be in the 16:9 format, saved as pdf, and contain:
- Presentation of your research and the proposed master’s or bachelor’s thesis project
- Number of students suitable for the master’s or bachelor’s thesis project
- Prior knowledge needed for the students to be eligible
- Contact information containing name of contact person, department and division of contact person, email address, home page for more information (if available).
The slides need to be submitted to us one week prior to the fair, on 5 October, in order for us to arrange the event. Please send your slides to healthengineering@chalmers.se.
The presentation slides will be printed and displayed on screens to inspire discussions during the mingle sessions.
The slides will also be sent to the students after the fair. As an option, you can also send an additional onepager pdf about the project, which will then be sent to the students instead of the slides.
If you have questions regarding the event, please send an email to Director of Health Engineering Area of Advance at Chalmers, Ann-Sofie Cans.
