2022
On 3 May, the nomination for the Textbook Authors’ Award, Sweden’s most prestigious prize for authors of teaching aids and course literature, opens. The purpose of the award is to pay tribute to the authorship of teaching materials and course literature, and to highlight their important role in Educational Sweden. The total prize money is at least SEK 250,000 divided into three categories.
Two categories: Teaching materials and Course literature. The last day for nominations is 31 May.
Criteria
A basic criterion for the prize is that they are only awarded to authors whose works are produced and published in Sweden, for teaching that follows current Swedish curricula. The nominated authors must have an ongoing publication. In addition, the jury is looking for the following:
solid works of authorship that include literature that has had an impact, significance and great use in its field.
author who has developed innovative teaching materials / course literature.
authors who show a good foundation in relevant and current research regarding subject content and didactics. For course literature, research grounding in the relevant subject area is particularly important.
Well-founded motivations are important for the jury’s work
The jury wants to emphasize that well-founded motives are of great importance. Therefore, make sure to motivate well why the author or authors you nominate have earned the award. How well are the authors’ works adapted to the course and curriculum? What makes the author’s work stand out? Which author or authors do you think have created something with that little extra?
Unlimited nominations
You can nominate one or more textbook authors per category.
