Harriet Wallberg, professor of physiology at Karolinska Institutet, has been appointed to lead an investigation to strengthen the strategic development of Life Science for University of Gothenburg. The initiator of the investigation is Vice-Chancellor Eva Wiberg. Shortly after the turn of the year, the Sahlgrenska Life co-planning group delivered the program report, which is the basis for the next step in the construction process. Vice-Chancellor Eva Wiberg therefore initiated an inquiry into the University’s overall focus in the Life Science area. As a result, the Sahlgrenska Life project is paused in parts pending the investigation, which will be completed in September. The investigative leader Harriet Wallberg has also previously held assignments as University Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor at KI.
