Pam Fredman was Vice-Chancellor of the University of Gothenburg, 2006–2007. As the university’s farewell gift to her, a prize was instituted in view of the commitment she has shown to issues in sustainable development – especially social sustainability and lifelong learning.
The prize, which consists of a diploma and a contribution to an institution / equivalent of SEK 20,000 per prize winner or max. SEK 50,000, to be used for the award winner’s professional pretext. It will be awarded at the university’s Conferment of Doctoral Degrees, in October each year.
Nominate this year’s award winners by March 31st
All students and staff at the University of Gothenburg can nominate.
The nominations must contain a motivation and contact information for the nominee and must be submitted to the rector no later than 31st March. A price committee then handles all nominations and award winners are appointed by the University Board.
